WINNEBAGO COUNTY
BROUGHT TO YOU BY
Winnebago County is located in east-central Wisconsin. As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, it had a population of approximately 171,010 residents. Oshkosh, the county seat and largest city, is known for its association with aviation, as it is the home of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and hosts the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, one of the world's largest aviation events. The county's economy is diverse, with manufacturing, healthcare, education, and technology sectors contributing significantly. Winnebago County offers recreational opportunities along the shores of Lake Winnebago, including boating, fishing, and waterfront parks. The county is also home to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, contributing to its educational and cultural offerings.
